Richard Taylor Driving is what is known as both a "Controller" and "Processor" of the personal data that you provide to us.
Unless otherwise agreed with you we will only store and use personal data to fulfil our obligations to you in the capacity of your driving instructor. This information includes (but is not limited too) your name, contact information and email address.
We would like to advise you that the car used for your lessons is fitted with a dash cam covering the rear and front of the vehicle, not the instructor or the driver.
This recording is covered by the CCTV code of practice under their systems that capture information of identifiable individuals or information relating to individuals which is detailed on www.ico.org.uk
Data is stored on a 32gb card which holds approximately 11 hours of recording after which time it is overwritten. The data is never shared with any other parties and would only be used in the event of an accident where it was required as evidence at which point authority to share the data would be obtained from you prior to the data being passed on.
We collect information about you to help advise you about the options available regarding the services we provide, to arrange training and book tests if requested by you to do so on your behalf.
We will not collect any data from you that we do not need in order to provide our services.
All the personal data we hold about you will be processed by Richard Taylor and his staff only.
We will provide this information to either the relevant bodies with whom we engage with whilst acting on your behalf, or, if there is a legal obligation to do so. An example of this might be if, in the unlikely event, you were involved in a collision we would have to provide your details to our third party insurers.
If you require us to provide information to a further party that falls out of the scope of our usual work practices, we will ask you for further consent to do so. We will contact you if we need to obtain additional information.
Richard Taylor Driving will not send any emails, texts or calls to private individuals who have not given us permission to.
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is processed and stored securely.
If we identify a risk or feel any of your details have been compromised, we will take all the relevant lawful procedures required.
Data provided by our customers is discarded within 1 year on completion of the training period with Richard Taylor Driving. No sensitive data regarding financial payments is ever recorded or stored by Richard Taylor Driving School.
